Baldwin Neighborhood Homeowners Association
(A 501c Non Profit Organization)
We are located between Obama Road and La Cienga Boulevard. Our boundaries are South Sycamore Avenue on the East, Ridgeley Drive to the West and Exposition Boulevard to the North and Obama Road to the South. Our neighborhood consists of 300 homes.
The Association was created to maintain the beauty of the area, support our local Park (Baldwin Hills Recreation Center), our local Elementary and High schools (Baldwin Hills Elementary and Susan Miller Dorsey High School) and to communicate effectively with our political representatives and local law enforcement agencies to insure that the neighborhood remaIns a safe beautiful place.
The Association has been instrumental in negotiating with Metro, first to maintain the Oleander bushes on Exposition Blvd and then to make certain that the train was quiet, tracks were not elevated throughout the neighborhood which helps to reduce noise and that landscaping was/is attractive and is well maintained. We negotiated terms with CVS to maintain the grounds and to operate during specific hours to keep the neighborhood safe. We continue to work with the 10th District Councilman's office to reduce neighborhood intrusion, to act as liaison with corporate businesses, help with traffic issues, where possible.
